The real Marlow’s house is a Victorian farmhouse in New York’s Hudson Valley. Once neglected, it was carefully renovated and is now brimming with joy. A sprawling porch for lemonade and laughter in the front, a native garden bustling with bees and hummingbirds in the back, and a nicked-and-dented antique oak table in the dining room that seats 12 (14 if they’re good friends, which they undoubtedly will be by the night’s end.)
